The Biebster is at it again, driving irresponsibly in one of his high-class sports cars and causing a ruckus among the adults in his neighborhood. A few days ago, residents in his community of Calabasas, California, called the local police reporting that Bieber was speeding in his white Ferrari within a 25mph zone. And one of those people who called the authorities was former NFL star and current ESPN analyst, Keyshawn Johnson.
Johnson witnessed Bieber speeding by his house and decided to not only report the pop-stars antics to the authorities, but also took it upon himself to try and talk some sense into the too-cool-for-school Canadian born singer. So he got into his wife’s Prius—yes…a Prius…how he fit in there is quite a mystery—and zoomed after the pop sensation all the way to his house.
When he got there, and was noticed by Bieber, the squirrelly little singer ran inside and refused to come out. And all this time Bieber was showing everyone how tough he was. Apparently, not tough enough to have a conversation with a neighbor. Its not like Johnson was going to knock his teeth in (though that most likely would have solved this ongoing annoyance with Bieber’s driving) but he probably was going to tell him to quit driving so fast in a residential community; a simple request that should have been obvious not to do in the first place.
Though, Johnson did give a statement to the police when they showed up at Bieber’s house. And according to the Associated Press, when the Las Angeles County Sheriffs Department did show up, “his security detail said he declined to talk to us based on the advice of counsel,” Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said.
Even the police got turned down by the Beibs! That shows the bemusing amount of power that a 19-year-old has. It really does not matter what Bieber has accomplished, though, if you call satisfying 13-year-old girls’ need for a boy heart-throb who sings like they do when they’re alone for the majority of your career “accomplishing”, that is really not impressive enough to have the authority to, well, turn down the authorities. All-and-all, it’s simply a matter of time before this high school graduate young-teen idol’s fame comes to an anti-climatic halt. And we will all be there to say, “So what was the point of all that?” But until then, remember to take him seriously as an artist.
